The Journey

Eight years as an educator and a lifetime as an artist. Creative, enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to share the knowledge. My professional journey has been one of transformation, from novice educator to seasoned teacher - one who can manage the fabric of modern young lives and help weave a powerful tapestry of people who are inspired and driven to succeed. Common Core Standards or simple common sense , Art is an excellent avenue for building better learners who can express themselves in any given subject. It enriches and delivers a unique perspective of the world. It encourages the precision of thought while accepting new directions. Indeed, Art allows us to forge new paths. It has done this for me, and I want nothing less for my students.

With a professional history dedicated to getting the best from students across the spectrum of abilities, I offer dynamic and creative learning environments that help students seize the moment to recognize their abilities and use them to become more confident with any path they choose.

The Mission

All students deserve the opportunity to learn about themselves, their immediate communities and the world in which they live. The key objective of each one of my lessons is to have students develop the confidence to explore and create without fear of judgement and to gain an appreciation of their own abilities and those of their classmates. It’s the art of validation and discovering who we really are.
